Dear SC Young Republicans, I first want to thank all who participated in our chartering effort. It was an enormous success and would not have been possible without those of you who decided to make a difference in your communities. We have had very positive responses from all corners of South Carolina and are still receiving petition forms. I want to personally thank the members of the Formation Committee who spent hours of their time at recruiting events, developing our website, and our promotional material. These people were truly the strength behind this effort which could not have been accomplished without them. I would like to thank Ms. Grasser, Mr. Carl Clegg, Mr. Tony DiPasquale, and Mr. Jason Greene, and the many others who unselfishly contributed to this important effort. I want to thank you for your vote of confidence at our Organizational Meeting in March. I am humbled and honored to be able to represent you and our organization and let me assure you that I will work tirelessly on your behalf. Together we will build this organization, which is founded on the premise that together we can accomplish great things for South Carolina. Our strength is not centered around one person or in one area of the state, but is built in every small town and large city across our great state. We have established goals for the organization, which can be found by opening the goals tab of this website. On March 9th I, along with Ms. Somer Grasser, attended the National Young Republican Federation Spring Board meeting in New Orleans. There we presented our chartering documents, and by a unanimous vote the NYRF Executive Committee along with all other states represented there voted to grant us our charter. Now that we have achieved this most important milestone we must continue to recruit new members from across South Carolina. We are the future of the Republican Party and as such we must get involved now in order to be a positive influence at all levels of government. With the election of the next President of the United States on the horizon we must continue to promote our conservative message across the state and nation. Each one of us cannot only make a difference, but can be the difference in our community. To find out how you can get involved contact me or the Young Republican representative for your region. I look forward to working with each of you in this crucial task. Sincerely, Patrick B. Haddon, Chairman SCFYR
